Global business process outsourcing (BPO) provider Sitel is set to recruit for multi-channel customer support positions and will add 350 positions to its customer care call center in Las Vegas, Nevada.
The recruitment is done due to expanding voice, email and social media volume, according to Sitel.
"We're growing and it's an exciting time in our business," said Linda Chambliss, site director of Sitel's Las Vegas facility, in a statement. "We have a great team. From management to agents, everyone here takes great pride in their work and strives to be successful."
Since 1997, Sitel has run well established business in Las Vegas and this is the largest recruitment since it began operations in the city.
Located at 420 Pilot Road, the Las Vegas site currently has 650 employees and will now hire about 125 agents and support staff to take incoming member services related calls for 24 Hour Fitness. One of the world’s largest privately owned and operated fitness center chain, 24 Hour Fitness is moving its customer contact center activities to Las Vegas sometime this year.
Another of Sitel’s client needs an additional 225 agents and support staff. All the new recruits will have to undergo training and the schedule for this training program has already been decided. Newly hired agents will begin their training from the first week in September and will be able to choose from a variety of work shift options till November. Candidates with previous customer service experience and strong computer knowledge will be given preference by Sitel.
Sitel was also in news earlier this year for expanding its customer care call center in Amarillo, Texas and will hire 100 employees for this facility.
