Thrupoint Inc., a webRTC specialist, has decided to place a greater focus on the area of software development. Accordingly, the company has initiated a spin-off of its Fusion collaboration software business. The result is a new business entity, born with a special focus on the development of customer experience management solutions. CafeX Communications, the new independent company, will operate as a software-only company aiming to extend enterprises' existing contact center and communications systems to new channels and use cases.
When it comes to long term business strategies, ensuring superior customer experience is at the top of the agenda for most of companies, big and small. Today, the call center is the primary avenue through which a business can maintain communication with its customers. CafeX Communications intends to deliver customer experience management solutions that would enable companies to expand these communication channels.
Examples include visual IVR (interactive voice response) solutions for smartphones and video-powered business-to-consumer (B2C) web applications. Such solutions may incorporate capture of extensive mobile web user analytics in order keep a tab on customer interactions across various digital channels.
“Separating from the services business and creating CafeX Communications purely as a software company gives us the opportunity to be more specialized and agile. We can now focus our efforts on exciting use cases emerging in the customer experience management space, helping companies leverage what they already have to deliver frictionless cross-channel experiences to their customers,” CEO of CafeX Communications Rami Musallam explained in a statement.
Last year, Thrupoint (News - Alert) announced the beta-launch of its WebRTC development program, called Thrupoint Juice. The program was focused on simplifying the integration of WebRTC and SIP. Thrupoint Fusion Web also allows for the integration of WebRTC with legacy IP PBX (News - Alert) and PSTN infrastructure, designed to enable organizations to leverage their existing assets while adding new capabilities.
The company is also a platinum sponsor of the WebRTC Conference and Expo, an event dedicated to the discussion and exhibition of WebRTC products, impacts, challenges, and achievements. Thrupoint will be delivering a keynote on the impact of WebRTC on the customer relationship and will be exhibiting at booth #303. The event is scheduled to take place November 19th through the 21st.
